I am taking the NMN for about two weeks now, I noticed that I have more energy than before, and I don't have to take my morning coffee to help me to stay awake, really help me to cut down my coffee intake to zero.
I've been purchasing NMN and NAC from Arcwell for over a year now and can't say enough about the excellent quality of their products. The customer support has also been incredible and they are very responsive and helpful whenever I've needed to reach out for help. Great company, great products!

Frequently Asked Questions
Would NMN break your fast?
By definition, fasting is the abstention from eating and sometimes drinking, therefore in the ideal fasting scenario one should consume water only. However, fasting can be modified in accordance with your goals to obtain better results. If your goal is losing weight many supplements including NMN won’t change your insulin profile thereby having no negative effects on your fat loss. If your fasting goal is to increase NAD+ levels to improve mitochondria health and metabolic function, having NMN when you are fasting will likely increase even further. But if your goal is detoxification, water fasting is your regimen!
What is the best time to take NMN, morning or nighttime?
We recommend taking NMN in the morning with or without a meal or 30 minutes prior to exercise.
Do I need to take trans-Resveratrol with NMN?
It is not necessary. It was suggested by Dr. David Sinclair based on his own research. However, there is no clinical trial on combination of two supplements together yet. I think at the end of the day it's all up to you. Please feel free to contact us at support@arcwell.ca if you have further questions.
Why is there an extra chemical name besides the full name of NMN on the ingredient?
The chemical name "3-(Aminocarbonyl)-1-(5-O-phosphonato-beta-D-ribofuranosyl)pyridinium" shown on our label is the accurate IUPAC (formal) name of NMN. This was suggested by Health Canada to be displayed on the label. Please find this link from Health Canada indicatingNMN's proper name is 3-(Aminocarbonyl)-1-(5-O-phosphonato-beta-D-ribofuranosyl)pyridinium. https://webprod.hc-sc.gc.ca/nhpid-bdipsn/ingredsReq.do?srchRchTxt=nmn&srchRchRole=-1&mthd=Search&lang=eng
NMN can be called "Nicotinamide Mononucleotide", "beta-Nicotinamide Mononucleotide, or " the most accurate chemical name "3-(Aminocarbonyl)-1-(5-O-phosphonato-beta-D-ribofuranosyl)pyridinium". But still, we are talking about the same ingredient, which is NMN. The reason you find this chemical name on our label is suggested by Health Canada upon the approval of NMN product license.
How long can I take NMN?
The current human research on NMN suggests that the longest human clinical trial conducted involved a 12-week administration of 250mg NMN daily. Published reports on NMN's long-term safety and clinical efficacy for anti-aging effects in humans are limited.
It's worth noting that even though we do have customers continuously taking NMN for over a year and feeling great without reported issues. When they stop taking it, some individuals have reported feeling a lack of energy. However, each person has unique NAD+ levels, diet, and lifestyle factors, making it a case-by-case scenario. We suggest paying attention to how your body feels and making decisions based on your individual experience.
If you have any further questions or if there's anything else we can assist you with, please feel free to let us know. Your well-being is our priority.
Is the 250 mg single pill of NMN a day best?
All our products are formulated with high purity (99.8% of raw material) and effective doses backed by HUMAN CLINICAL TRIALS. In a recent 2022 human clinical trial focusing on the daily administration of 250 mg NMN (Ref 1), profound bioavailability was observed post daily intake. Hence, this is the recommended dosage based on the latest scientific findings.
It's noteworthy that Prof. David Sinclair, a prominent figure in the field, has recently adjusted his daily NMN intake from 1000 mg to 500 mg.(Ref 2) The ideal dosage varies for each individual, contingent upon factors such as existing deficiencies in the targeted supplement. To initiate your NMN supplementation journey, we advocate commencing with 250 mg and closely monitoring how your energy levels evolve.
For those leading an active lifestyle, we advise taking the supplement 30 minutes before engaging in physical exercise for optimized benefits.
Besides, we're pleased to offer pure NMN Powder as an option for those who wish to customize their dosage, as it comes with a convenient scoop delivering 250mg per scoop.

Shall I take an NMN capsule or powder form? What's the difference?
The decision between taking NMN in powder or capsule form depends on your personal preferences, lifestyle, and any specific considerations you may have. Here are some factors to consider when making your choice:
- Taste and Convenience: If you prefer to avoid the slightly sour taste of NMN, the capsule form would be more suitable since it allows for easy intake without directly tasting the powder. On the other hand, if you don't mind the taste or prefer a more customizable dosage, the powder form might be better.
- Stomach Sensitivity: Some individuals may experience stomach upset when taking NMN capsules on an empty stomach. If you are one of them, the powder form could be a preferable option since you can mix it with food or liquids to minimize any discomfort.
- Absorption Speed: NMN powder is generally absorbed faster than capsules, as it doesn't need to dissolve in the digestive tract. If rapid absorption is a priority for you, the powder form might be more appealing.
- Effectiveness: Both the capsule and powder forms have demonstrated excellent absorption in human clinical trials, making them effective choices for enhancing NAD+ levels.
- Lifestyle and Convenience: Consider your lifestyle and daily routine. Capsules may be more convenient for on-the-go use, while the powder form might be more practical for mixing into drinks or foods at home.
- Dosage Flexibility: If you prefer to have more control over your dosage, the powder form allows you to adjust the amount of NMN you consume easily. Capsules typically come in pre-determined dosages, which may or may not align with your specific needs.
Ultimately, both forms of NMN have their advantages. Consider your preferences, any potential sensitivities, and your lifestyle when deciding which form is best for you to ensure it aligns with your health goals and needs.
Is it best to eat NMN and Trans-resveratrol together as in along with the same meal?
All the human clinical trials on resveratrol and NMN have been conducted individually. Therefore, it is not entirely clear whether there is any positive synergistic effect between these two molecules when taken together. Most of our customers choose to take them together, either in the same meal or on an empty stomach when they are still in a fasted state. People opt to combine them based on David Sinclair's statement that these two would work better when taken together. However, there is no clinical trial evidence to support this, but I personally prefer to take them together.
I was also curious why you have a warning for physician consult for use past 6 weeks for NMN?
Regarding the warning about consulting a physician for use beyond 6 weeks for NMN, this suggestion was required by Health Canada. Since NMN is a relatively new supplement on the market, it is Health Canada's way of playing it safe.
Where is your NMN made?
We pride ourselves on sourcing our active ingredients from various countries worldwide, including Switzerland, the US, and China. Specifically, our NMN powder is sourced from China and formulated and packaged in our GMP-compliant facility in Victoria BC, Canada. However, what truly matters to us is not just the origin of these ingredients, but rather the rigorous quality control and testing measures we implement to ensure the highest standards for our raw materials.
At Arcwell, we take quality seriously. Each batch of raw materials undergo meticulous testing, including in-house High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) for purity assessment, NMR spectrometry for precise chemical structure identification, and third-party certified lab analysis for heavy metal and microbial contaminant screening. These comprehensive measures guarantee that our products meet the highest quality standards.
Where are your materials sourced from?
Arcwell was founded by three scientists in Victoria BC and our mission is to provide high-purity dietary supplements with scientifically proven results to improve your health. We want you to have the correct information to make proactive decisions about your health vs. being reactive and treating illness.
Our ingredients are sourced from various locations around the world such as Switzerland for our Resveratrol, the US for our NAC, and China for our Glutathione and NMN. We are meticulous in selecting our suppliers and work with trusted partners who share our dedication to quality. Our aim is to provide pharmaceutical-grade supplements that meet the highest standards. To ensure the purity and quality of our ingredients, we have rigorous testing procedures in place. Each ingredient undergoes thorough testing both in-house and by reputable third-party laboratories. Our standard is to achieve a purity level greater than 99%, exceeding industry norms.
Additionally, we believe the best way to oversee quality is to produce our dietary supplements ourselves. Our ISO 8 clean room is a GMP-compliant facility approved by Health Canada. Unlike other companies that outsource production, we have oversight of raw materials, testing, and packaging of the finished product.
Do you have NAD+ powder?
We do offer NAD+ direct precursor "NMN" in a powdered form. NAD+, as a co-enzyme, is not chemically stable for room temperature storage. Therefore, the most effective way to elevate your NAD+ levels is by taking the direct precursor "Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN)."
Based on human clinical trials, a daily intake of 250 mg of NMN has been shown to increase NAD+ levels, providing valuable support for your health.
I hope this information helps answer your question. It's also worth noting that Arcwell NMN powder is the first Health Canada approved product of its kind in the market with a valid product license (NPN number).
Is your NMN pure? Why does your label list the medicinal ingredient as NMN or “3-(Aminocarbonyl)-1-(5-O-phosphonato-beta-D-ribofuranosyl)pyridinium”?
We understand that the chemical names of organic molecules can be perplexing, especially without a background in chemistry. It's important to recognize that organic compounds often go by various names. In the case of NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide), it can also be referred to as "beta-Nicotinamide Mononucleotide" or, in its most accurate chemical form, "3-(Aminocarbonyl)-1-(5-O-phosphonato-beta-D-ribofuranosyl)pyridinium." Rest assured, regardless of the nomenclature, we are referring to the same essential ingredient, NMN.
Our NMN is of the highest purity, exceeding 99.8% by HPLC analysis. The chemical name you find on our label aligns with Health Canada's recommendations. You can verify this information on Health Canada's website by visiting the following link:
