Quality Product

This has been my favourite brand of Trans-Resveritrol of all the ones I have tried. My partner and I have tried several different brands in the past. Since finding Arcwell it is the only one I buy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to take trans-Resveratrol with NMN?

It is not necessary. It was suggested by Dr. David Sinclair based on his own research. However, there is no clinical trial on combination of two supplements together yet. I think at the end of the day it's all up to you. Please feel free to contact us at support@arcwell.ca if you have further questions.

What’s the best time to take Arcwell products if I purchase more than one product?

Here is our suggestion. If you get all 4 Arcwell products at once, you may take NAC together with Glutathione during the breakfast with a meal, and NMN together with trans-Resveratrol at lunchtime with or without meals.

If you just take NMN, we suggest taking it in the morning with or without a meal or 30 min prior to exercise.

If you take NAC and/or GSH, we suggest taking in the daytime with a meal. And a special note: since the compound contains sulfur, don’t take it together with any minerals such (Iron, Zinc, Magnesium, etc.). Please take it at least 4 hr apart from the minerals or multivitamins.

If you just take trans-Resveratrol, anytime could be fine.

I've come across videos proposing that resveratrol may be more effective as pure powder mixed into a fat-rich meal rather than as a pill. Any recommendations on this front?

In the realm of trans-resveratrol, a noteworthy human clinical trial involving postmenopausal women (ref) revealed cognitive decline improvements with resveratrol administered in capsule form, taken with water. It's crucial to emphasize that fat is not indispensable for resveratrol absorption or its functionality within the body.

Is it best to eat NMN and Trans-resveratrol together as in along with the same meal?

All the human clinical trials on resveratrol and NMN have been conducted individually. Therefore, it is not entirely clear whether there is any positive synergistic effect between these two molecules when taken together. Most of our customers choose to take them together, either in the same meal or on an empty stomach when they are still in a fasted state. People opt to combine them based on David Sinclair's statement that these two would work better when taken together. However, there is no clinical trial evidence to support this, but I personally prefer to take them together.

I recently came across another compound called 'Pterostilbene', compared with Resveratrol. An argument was how the former was more bioavailable and better absorbed as a supplement. Do you have thoughts about it?

Pterostilbene vs. trans-Resveratrol: Pterostilbene, often referred to as methylated Resveratrol, is an intriguing compound sharing similarities with trans-Resveratrol. Some studies suggest that Pterostilbene may exhibit higher bioavailability and superior absorption compared to Resveratrol, but it's crucial to note that these findings are limited to in vitro and animal studies.

Emphasizing the importance of human clinical trial data is essential, as it provides more reliable insights than both in vitro (lab dish) and in vivo (animal) studies. Notably, there is currently no proven efficacy directly linked to the improvement of bioavailability. For your reference, attached is a compelling human clinical trial on trans-Resveratrol, showcasing increased cerebral blood flow after the administration of 250 mg and 500 mg of trans-Resveratrol.

How bioavailable is Resveratrol?

Resveratrol demonstrates high oral absorption (approximately 70%) in humans, yet its systemic bioavailability is relatively low, around 0.5%, resulting in limited presence in the blood plasma. The primary reason for this reduced systemic bioavailability is the swift metabolization of resveratrol into sulfate and glucuronide conjugates. Additionally, the gut microbiota contributes to further metabolizing resveratrol.

Although it is thought that resveratrol has low bioavailability, the evidence of its bio-activity, supported by more than 200 published clinical studies, seems unquestionable. Numerous systematic reviews and meta-analyses have reported positive associations. Therefore, it is clear that the low levels of resveratrol found in blood plasma are not telling us the whole story, and resveratrol is considered to have high bio-efficacy.

Where are your materials sourced from?

Arcwell was founded by three scientists in Victoria BC and our mission is to provide high-purity dietary supplements with scientifically proven results to improve your health. We want you to have the correct information to make proactive decisions about your health vs. being reactive and treating illness.

Our ingredients are sourced from various locations around the world such as Switzerland for our Resveratrol, the US for our NAC, and China for our Glutathione and NMN. We are meticulous in selecting our suppliers and work with trusted partners who share our dedication to quality. Our aim is to provide pharmaceutical-grade supplements that meet the highest standards. To ensure the purity and quality of our ingredients, we have rigorous testing procedures in place. Each ingredient undergoes thorough testing both in-house and by reputable third-party laboratories. Our standard is to achieve a purity level greater than 99%, exceeding industry norms.

Additionally, we believe the best way to oversee quality is to produce our dietary supplements ourselves. Our ISO 8 clean room is a GMP-compliant facility approved by Health Canada. Unlike other companies that outsource production, we have oversight of raw materials, testing, and packaging of the finished product.

Is your product FDA approved?

At Arcwell, we want to assure you that all our products are carefully regulated and approved by Health Canada, the authority responsible for natural health product approvals in Canada.

It's worth noting that any determinations made by the FDA do not impact the sale or distribution of our products within Canada, as long as they are manufactured within Canada and hold a valid product license (NPN).
